Three results decide local demand
For anything with local intent, the map pack sits above the organic results and takes the clicks. Being the fourth-best organic result on a page that opens with three map listings is close to being invisible.
A local search is not a normal search. Google reads the query, your location and the time of day, then decides whether to show a map at all — and if it does, the three businesses it picks get most of the attention before a visitor ever scrolls.
That ranking is driven by a different set of inputs from your organic ranking: proximity to the searcher, the completeness and consistency of your business profile, review volume and recency, the categories you have chosen, and the quality of the page you point the listing at.
Which means a business can rank well organically and be entirely absent from the map — and the fix has nothing to do with blog posts.
What moves the 3-pack
- Primary category chosen correctly, not aspirationally
- Business name, address and phone identical everywhere
- Review volume and, more importantly, recency
- Photos and posts that show the profile is alive
- A landing page that matches the listing
- Local links and citations from genuinely local sources
What local SEO with us covers
Google Business Profile, done properly
Category audit, services and attributes filled in completely, the description rewritten to match your entity sentence, products where they apply, weekly posts, Q&A seeded with real questions, and photo cadence. Most profiles we take over are 40% complete and mis-categorised.
Citations and NAP consistency
We audit every place your business is listed, fix the ones that disagree with your profile, and build the directories that still matter in India — Justdial, Sulekha, IndiaMART, industry bodies — rather than blasting 500 low-grade listings.
Location pages that are not clones
One page per place you genuinely serve, each with its own market context, its own proof and its own internal links. Find-and-replace city pages are a doorway-page pattern and they get filtered.
Reviews, as a system
A request flow that fits how you already talk to customers, response templates for the good and the bad, and reporting on velocity. We do not write, buy or incentivise reviews, and we will not work with anyone who wants us to.
If you have more than one branch
Multi-location SEO fails in predictable ways. These are the ones we spend most of our time undoing.
- One indexable page per location, each with genuinely local content
- Consistent naming convention decided centrally and enforced
- Per-branch tracking numbers that keep the profile NAP intact
- A crawlable store locator with real links to each page
- Reporting split by location, because averages hide the branch that is failing
- One page listing every branch, so no page can rank for any city
- Identical copy across twelve location pages with the city name swapped
- A single phone number on every listing, which breaks call attribution and confuses the profile
- Branch profiles managed by branch managers, each inventing their own business name format
- Store locators built in JavaScript that crawlers never see
Results from local programmes
Filter by industry. Every number here comes from the client’s own Search Console, GA4 or CRM — if a figure is missing it is because we cannot evidence it.

Reviews are the part everyone underestimates
Volume matters, recency matters more, and responses matter more than most businesses think. It is also the one input a competitor cannot buy their way past quickly.
A profile with forty reviews where the newest is eight months old performs worse than one with fifteen where three arrived last week. Recency is read as a signal that the business is alive and trading.
The mistake almost everyone makes is treating review collection as a campaign rather than a habit. A bulk email to your customer list produces a spike, then nothing, then a slow decline. What works is a request built into the moment a customer is happiest — at handover, after a successful visit, on the invoice — and someone whose job it is to notice.
We set that flow up, write the templates for the good reviews and the bad ones, train whoever is on the front line, and then report velocity rather than total. What we will never do is write, buy or incentivise a review, and we will resign an account that insists on it.
What we set up
- A request moment that fits how you already work
- Short links and QR codes that go straight to the review form
- Response templates, including for the unfair ones
- Escalation for anything that looks like a policy breach
- Velocity reporting rather than a vanity total
What local SEO costs, and when it is not worth it
A single location in one city sits inside the Starter plan at ₹25,000 a month. Multi-location work is scoped individually, because the research load scales with the number of genuine markets rather than the number of pages we produce.
There is also a floor below which this is not worth buying. If you are a single-location business in a small town with three competitors and none of them have claimed their profile, you can do the highest-value 80% of local SEO yourself in two afternoons — and we will tell you that on the call rather than sell you a retainer.
Local SEO FAQs
How long does it take to appear in the map pack?
A profile that is verified, correctly categorised and complete can start showing for low-competition terms within weeks. Competitive city terms take months, and proximity puts a hard ceiling on how far outside your area you can rank — no amount of optimisation makes a Noida business rank in the Mumbai map pack.
Do we need a physical address?
To have a Business Profile at all, yes — Google requires a real location where you meet customers, and it does verify. Service-area businesses can hide the address but still need one. If you have no premises, local SEO is the wrong channel and we will point you at the organic work instead.
Can you get negative reviews removed?
Only where they breach Google’s policies, and we will flag those. We cannot remove a review from an unhappy customer, and any agency claiming they can is either lying or about to get your profile suspended.
